What I Love the Most About My Home is What I Share It With

The paintings are inspired by common visual elements that are typical of most households in the Czech Republic and Slovakia — an old broken jug, crocheted ornaments, grandfather's tools, aroma lamps — mostly with a touch of romantic, vintage style. I still enjoy exploring people's creative enthusiasm and their desire to individualise their homes, even though they often end up looking quite similar. I see this environment as an inspiring element, despite its possible aesthetic shortcomings and questionable impression. Of course, I am not trying to oppose or criticise this aesthetic in my work. I identify with and am inspired by this type of space.
