A painting series inspired by medieval art, saints, and Christian symbolism. Figures and objects are often stylized, depicted in disproportionate, exaggerated forms, sometimes with strong coloration and disharmonic deformation. I’m interested in the connection between motifs of everyday life and mysterious, sublime religious themes and their elements. I strive to gently connect historical Christian symbolism with contemporary painting approaches.
